Hints and Tips

 On this page you’ll find hints and tips that will help you design and create your website. There are also links to other sites that are full of information about website building.

 There are lots of different computer programs that help you build a website and many of them let you create webpages without needing to know anything about HTML, the main code used for creating pages on the Internet. However, if you are interested in trying to write your own HTML code, the documents below give you a few tips to help you get started:

http://www.lissaexplains.com/ Has been designed specifically to help you learn HTML and it comes with a free HTML editor.

 Project Cool: http://www.devx.com/projectcool/  This site has loads of free information about all aspects of website design and building. You’ve just got to find it amongst the adverts!

 http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp This is a very good introduction to HTML. It starts at the beginning and takes you a long way!

 http://build-website.com/ Not so good for technical help but a useful step-by-step guide about the things you need to do to build a website.

 http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ Loads of information on this site, just ignore the ‘Huh?’ at the end of every sentence!
